4-Day Kashmir Itinerary – Srinagar, Pahalgam/Sonamarg & Gulmarg

Special Tulip Garden Kashmir Trip: March 28, 2026, to End of April 2026

Day 1: Arrival in Kashmir – Stay in Houseboat (Dinner)

Morning: Arrive at Srinagar Airport, greeted by our team, and transfer to Dal Lake. Check-in at a traditional houseboat and enjoy Kashmiri tea (Kahwa).

Afternoon: Free time at the houseboat to relax or take photos with scenic lake and mountain views. Optional lunch on the houseboat (additional cost).

Evening: Rest or explore Dal Lake. Optional: Shikara ride to see the floating market (additional cost). Enjoy the sunset by the lake.

Night: Dinner with Kashmiri dishes on the houseboat. Relax in the peaceful evening atmosphere.

Accommodation: Luxury Houseboat on Dal Lake.

Day 2: Pahalgam or Sonamarg (Breakfast, Dinner)

Morning: Breakfast at the houseboat, then depart for the chosen destination:

  • Pahalgam (~2.5–3 hrs): Journey to the “Valley of Shepherds” with views of rivers and forests.
  • Sonamarg (~2–3 hrs): Travel to the “Meadow of Gold” with snow-capped mountain landscapes.

Afternoon: Activities at the destination:

  • Pahalgam: Visit Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, and Lidder River. Optional: Horse riding (additional cost). Lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Sonamarg: Explore Thajiwas Glacier. Optional: Sled ride (additional cost). Lunch at a local restaurant.

Evening: Continue exploration or free time for photography. Begin journey back to Srinagar.

Night: Arrive in Srinagar, dinner at the hotel, and rest.

Accommodation: Hotel in Srinagar.

Day 3: Full Day in Gulmarg – Gondola Phase 1 (Breakfast, Dinner)

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel/houseboat, brief stop at Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden for the Tulip Festival (March–April), then depart for Gulmarg. Enjoy snow-covered landscapes.

Afternoon: Ride the Gulmarg Gondola to Phase 1 (free ticket) for stunning mountain views. Free time for snow activities or skiing (optional, additional cost). Lunch in Gulmarg.

Evening: Explore snowfields or relax at a local café. Return to Srinagar.

Night: Arrive in Srinagar, dinner at the hotel, and rest.

Accommodation: Hotel in Srinagar.

Day 4: Mughal Gardens (If Time Permits) – Departure (Breakfast)

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel/houseboat. If time allows, visit Shalimar Bagh or Nishat Bagh to see the beautiful Mughal gardens.

Afternoon: Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your return flight. If time is limited, proceed directly to the airport after breakfast.

Evening/Night: No activities (depending on flight schedule).

Accommodation: None (Departure).

Important Notes

  • Tulip Season: Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden is usually open from March to April. If visiting outside the season, alternative visits to Mughal gardens or activities in Srinagar (such as a Shikara ride) will be arranged.
  • Clothing: Bring warm clothing for Gulmarg and Sonamarg (especially in winter). A jacket, comfortable shoes, and a hat are recommended.
  • Safety: Follow local guide instructions, especially in mountain areas.
