Ladakh Buddhist Trail – Monasteries & Pangong Lake

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN LEH

Arrive in Leh. Check-in at the hotel and rest to acclimatize to the high altitude.
In the afternoon, enjoy a light visit to Shanti Stupa, a short uphill walk suitable for the first day.

DAY 2 – LEH LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

(Breakfast, Dinner)
Visit:

• Hall of Fame (military museum)

• Magnetic Hill

• Gurudwara Pathar Sahib

• Sangam Point (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers)

• Leh Palace
  Overnight stay in Leh.

DAY 3 – LEH TO NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDUNG LA

(Breakfast, Dinner)
Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (5,359 m), with a brief stop at the summit.
Visit:

• Diskit Monastery

• Bactrian camel ride on Hunder sand dunes
  Overnight stay in camp/hotel in Nubra.

DAY 4 – NUBRA TO PANGONG LAKE VIA SHYOK

(Breakfast, Dinner)
Scenic drive from Nubra to Pangong Lake along the Shyok River route.
Arrive at Pangong Lake (14,270 ft).
Afternoon: Relax and take photos by the lake.
Overnight stay in a lakeside camp.

DAY 5 – PANGONG TO LEH VIA CHANG LA PASS

(Breakfast, Dinner)
Return to Leh via Chang La Pass.
Optional stop: Hemis Monastery.
Afternoon: Free time for shopping or café-hopping in Leh.
Overnight stay in Leh.

DAY 6 – DEPARTURE FROM LEH

Morning transfer to Leh Airport.
Tip: Allow buffer time for possible flight delays.

1. Registration and Payment

• Registration must be completed by filling out the official form and paying a 50% deposit within 7 days of confirmation.

• The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before departure.

• Payment must be made via bank transfer to the organizer’s official account.

• The trip price includes accommodation (houseboat & hotel), private transportation, entrance fees (gondola, Mughal gardens), shikara ride, and meals as per the itinerary.

2. Pricing and Inclusions

• Prices are per person (twin-sharing or triple room). A single supplement applies for private rooms.

• Not included: India visa, travel insurance, personal expenses (laundry, phone), optional activities (horse riding), shopping, and tips for guides/drivers.

• Prices may be adjusted due to changes in airfare or taxes without prior notice.

3. Travel Documents

• Participants must have a valid passport (minimum 6-month validity) and a valid Indian e-Visa.

• The organizer is not responsible for failed departures due to incomplete documents or visa rejection.

4. Cancellation Policy

• Participant cancellation: Unilateral cancellations are non-refundable.

• Organizer cancellation due to force majeure (natural disasters, unrest, or government restrictions): Full refund or rescheduling option will be offered.

• Flight cancellation fees follow the airline's policy.

5. Itinerary and Changes

• The itinerary is subject to change due to weather, local conditions, or unforeseen circumstances without reducing the value of the experience.

• Optional activities (e.g., horse riding, saffron shopping) depend on availability and local conditions.

6. Participant Responsibility

• Participants must follow local regulations, comply with guide instructions, and ensure their own personal safety.

• Participants are liable for damages or extra costs due to personal negligence.

• The organizer is not responsible for loss of personal items, injuries, or illnesses during the trip.

7. Travel Insurance

• Participants are strongly advised to obtain travel insurance covering health, accidents, and trip cancellations.

• The organizer may recommend insurance options, but the final decision is up to the participant.

8. Force Majeure

• The organizer is not liable for any loss caused by events beyond control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, flight cancellations, or government travel bans.
