Itinerary (March 28 – April 2026)
Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar & Stay in Houseboat (Dinner)
- Morning/Noon: Arrive at Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport, Srinagar. Meet and greet by our local team.
- Noon: Transfer to Dal Lake for check-in at a traditional Kashmiri houseboat. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and scenic lake views.
- Afternoon-Evening: Relax at the houseboat. Enjoy a traditional Kashmiri dinner (e.g., Wazwan). Optional: Short stroll around the lake if time permits.
- Accommodation: Houseboat in Srinagar.
Day 2: Tulip Garden & Gulmarg Adventure (Breakfast, Dinner)
- Morning: Breakfast at the houseboat, then head to Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden (30 min from Dal Lake). Admire colorful tulip fields with Zabarwan Hills as the backdrop.
- Noon: Travel to Gulmarg (2 hours). Lunch at a local restaurant.
- Afternoon: Ride the Gulmarg Gondola and enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas and lush meadows.
- Evening: Return to Srinagar. Dinner and rest at the hotel.
- Accommodation: Hotel in Srinagar.
Day 3: Full Day Sonamarg (Breakfast, Dinner)
- Morning: Breakfast, then depart for Sonamarg (2.5 hours). Enjoy views of the Sindh River and mountains.
- Noon: Arrive in Sonamarg, explore the “Meadow of Gold.” Visit Thajiwas Glacier (optional: pony ride, ~INR 500-1000/person). Picnic lunch or dine at a local restaurant.
- Afternoon: Free time for photos or a walk in the meadow.
- Evening: Return to Srinagar. Dinner and rest.
- Accommodation: Hotel in Srinagar.
Day 4: Full Day Pahalgam (Breakfast, Dinner)
- Morning: Breakfast, then travel to Pahalgam (2.5 hours). Enjoy views of the Lidder River and pine forests.
- Noon: Arrive in Pahalgam. Explore Lidder Valley and surroundings. Lunch at a local restaurant.
- Afternoon: Choose one optional destination (additional cost ~INR 1000-2000): Betaab Valley (famous from Bollywood films, 30 min from Pahalgam) or Aru Valley (peaceful natural surroundings). Alternative: Free time for shopping at Pahalgam’s local market or walking along the river.
- Evening: Return to Srinagar. Dinner and rest.
- Accommodation: Hotel in Srinagar.
Day 5: Mughal Gardens & Departure (Breakfast)
- Morning: Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. If time permits, visit Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure, stunning Dal Lake views) or Shalimar Bagh (Mughal Garden of Love with fountains) for 1-1.5 hours.
- Noon: Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your return flight. If time is tight, head directly to the airport.
- Evening/Night: No activities (depending on flight schedule).
- Accommodation: None (departure).
Important Notes
- Tulip Season: Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden is open from March to April. Outside this period, it’s replaced with another Mughal garden or a shikara ride (~INR 500-1000/hour).
- Clothing: Bring warm jackets, comfortable shoes, and hats for Gulmarg and Sonamarg, especially if visiting early in the season (March).
